The Sr. Logistics Engineer implements business strategies related to process automation and process information integration. Implements program modifications to plant floor control devices as required for process improvements. The Sr Logistics Engineer develops project schedules, coordinates project design teams, and communicates with Engineering management to assure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with the approved scope. Responsible for the interface with vendors, system integrators, and contracted personnel as itapplies to the process control systems and process information systems PCS PIS . This position ensures compliance with Automation, Change Control and IQ OQ SOP s, Company policies, regulations and GMP s. The Sr Logistics Engineers partners with Operations in the continuous improvement effort. Support and take ownership of equipment, engineering, and maintenance related initiatives. Assists maintenance and operations team in troubleshooting problems associated with manufacturing automation system to minimize downtime and quality impact. Lead and follow up with all general engineering projects and initiatives.
Position Requirements:
Position requires a BS degree in Engineering and a minimum of 5 years experience in project management, project planning, project scheduling, and implementation of capital projects required. Experience implementing and testing process control systems and participating in operator training as well as experience managing projects over 500,000 is preferred. Previous experience programming and providing client support in an industrial environment and experience in the pharmaceutical, nutritional, and or food and beverage manufacturing environment desirable. Proficiency in a subset of the following areas PLC programming, HMI programming, and system. Thorough understanding of budget procedures, value engineering, and cash flow. Able to use budget tools and the understanding of life cycle costs.
Salary: D5 - 65k-125k
