Thought I'd start this thread to document all the Fraternity movies out there. I plan to list them based on how much you need to see them. "Must see's" listed first...

Fraternity Row (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0076052/)
This is an old movie (1977) that most of you have probably never seen. However, it had the biggest effect on me and my thoughts on hazing. To me, this should be required material for pledging. If you've got Brothers that still want to haze, make them watch this flick. Sadly, it's not available on NetFlix. :frown:

Animal House (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077975/)
Although alot of bad stereotypes came from this movie, it's still a great movie. Most of the stuff that takes place in this movie is breaking some kind of FIPG rule or public law. It's mostly stuff we shouldn't do. However, every chapter has it "Bluto." If you ain't seen this movie, I ain't drinking with you... unless we're watching this movie.

Revenge of the Nerds (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088000/)
The Alpha Betas vs the tri-Lambdas. Throw in some cheerleaders and some Omega Mus and you've got one heck of a movie. The characters in this movie are just as good as Animal House. This movie made being a Nerd slightly less embarassing... well, maybe not.

I'll post more later. Feel free to add to the list.

Going Greek (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0263386/plotsummary)
Loner freshman Jake Taylor is forced to join the wildest fraternity on campus when the frat brothers refuse to accept his geeky cousin/roommate unless Jake agrees to pledge with him. As the semester progresses, Jake struggles to maintain his grades as well as his affair with Paige, a beautiful sophomore who hates all fraternities. Through naked scavenger hunts, sorority ass-signings and all night beer fests, Jake discovers that he's actually beginning to enjoy himself. But when both his scholarship and his relationship with Paige are threatened, Jake must swallow his pride and turn to his fellow pledges for help or risk losing everything.

PCU (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0110759/)
A high school senior comes to visit Port Chester (aka Politically Correct U) for the weekend, and the admissions department mistakenly sets him up to stay with Droz (Jeremy Piven), a seven year student and party-animal who lives in The Pit, the most offensive house on campus. After trying to pawn the pre-freshman off on his housemate (Jon Favreau), Droz sets off on his normal daily activities including disrupting a political protest by throwing meat at a group of vegan protesters. The President of the University then receives a number of complaints, and with the help of her lackey (superbly portrayed by David Spade), she may finally have the power to kick Droz's house off campus. But the Pit throws an all-campus rager where George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic performs, and everything might turn out alright if the various political groups can forget their protests for one night and just have fun together.

How bout a little more effort than CTRL+C CRTL+V? What's your take on the movies?

While PCU is a great movie, is it a Fraternity movie?

I will update them later. I am so sorry. I missed the point. I thought we were putting up movies that we thought were good. I just posted the plot summery from the link that was provided.

Going Greek is a great movie!! I like it because you actually go through an obviously exaggerated version nonetheless but you go through a pledgeship with the characters that many of these movies dont show.
