I would like to invite all of my Sigma Pi family and friends to the CharCon 2008 game convention. October 18, 19 2008
Yes, Oct 18 is Bridge Day here is WV. No problem. Go to the Bridge next year. It is the same bridge as the last 10 years. However CharCon is different. At least, we will give you a game for pre-registering.
Pre-Registration is now open for 2008!!!
That's right, pre-registration for your favorite Con and mine is now open and it is super simple.
To pre-register, go to www.CharCon.org (http://www.CharCon.org).
So, you may be asking yourself, "Self, why should I pre-register?" and if you are, I have the answer.
First, every person who pre-registers for a weekend pass will receive five free entries into the absolutely fantastic CharCon raffle, where we give away thousands of dollars worth of sweet gaming stuff!
Second, every person who pre-registers for a weekend pass will also receive a free game! Yes, you heard that right a free game! All the games are selections from the Rio Grande Games (http://www.riograndegames.com/) product line. We can't tell you which game you will get, but we can tell you that the average cost of all the games is almost $30, which is more than the price of a weekend pass all by itself!
Third, pre-registrants are the only folks allowed to sign up for games prior to the day of the show.
Finally, you really help us out! Having pre-registrations allows us to count on a specific number of attendees and helps us in preparing for CharCon. Plus, every pre-registration that comes in gives the staff a big boost of enthusiasm!
Did I mention if you pre-register for a weekend pass you get a free game?
Here is some details about admission prices and pre-registering.
Admission prices for 2008
Weekend Pass - $20
Saturday Pass - $15
Sunday Pass - $10
Children (12 & under) - $5 per day
Visitors (may not play games) - $5 per day (may be upgraded on site)
Pre-registering
The pre-registration system will allow you to pay via Paypal or snail mail (check/money order). Simply pick out the ticket(s) you want and then go through the registration process (be sure to provide us with accurate information in case we need to contact you). Finally, check out and select your method of payment.
If you purchase more than one ticket (say for a spouse or some friends), be sure to indicate in the comments field what the names should be for those tickets. Also, if purchasing a child or visitor pass, note that they are per day, so be sure to purchase 2 if they will be attending both days. Just indicate that in the comments as well.
Don't worry, if we have any questions at all, we will be in touch.
After that, you are done. Sit back, relax and wait for October 18th to roll around. Be sure to take advantage of Early Event Sign Up, which is available only for people who pre-register. We will send out a notice once this is available.
