Pay: $65,000 - $100,000 Per Year
Job Description: blueStone has been retained by North America's largest broad line wholesale distributor of business products to assist in their search for a Java Technical Analyst. With 2006 consolidated net sales of $4.5 billion, the company offers approximately 46,000 items from approximately 550 manufacturers. This includes a broad and deep selection of technology products, office products, office furniture, janitorial and sanitation supplies, and foodservice consumables.
This is a challenging opportunity in their Deerfield, IL Corporate Headquarters’ Information Technology Division for a Java Technical Analyst full time or contract to hire role
Reporting to the IT - Marketing Manager, as a Technical Analyst supporting the Marketing Team you would be responsible for assisting in the design, development, and testing of marketing and merchandising solutions.
Responsibilities include:
• Working within a project team setting on developing new functionality, modifications, updates, and new business development
• Interacting with internal business customers to define requirements and design technical solutions to meet their requirements
• Managing inter-system type projects coordinating the efforts of both internal and external resources.
• Planning and managing work schedules and communicating project issues and assumptions.
The successful candidate will be someone who has strong follow through coupled with technical knowledge and problem solving skills. Must be detail oriented and show definitive leadership qualities.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Marketing or related discipline required
• 3-4 years minimum experience developing Java applications
• 1 – 2 years experience with XML and web services
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal/written) and ability to interface effectively with all levels throughout the organization
• Project Management experience is a plus
• Ability to multi-task across multiple projects, prioritize, meet deadlines and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, service oriented environment
Technical Skills:
Web based applications - J2EE
Languages/Protocols – JSP, EJB, JDBC, JAVA BEANS, SERVLETS, C#, ASP.NET, ORACLE, XML, XSL, WSDL, XSD, HTTPS, SSL
Other Software – Endeca, SAP MDM, Microsoft Office, Visio, Powerpoint, Webtrends
