The WVU Tech Student Activities Board, Appalachian Gamers, and WV Hobby Gaming Association (CharCon Game Convention) will be sponsoring the 3rd Annual WVU TECH GAME DAY on Saturday, March 7th from 9AM - Midnight. The event will be held in the WVU Tech Center Ballroom in Montgomery, WV, about 30 miles east of Charleston. The price will be $7.50 for the day. We will be playing a mixture of of tabletop, card, and board games. Plus anything else you want to bring.
The schedule has not been set yet. In the past we have had:
Boardgames: BattleLore, Ticket to Ride (All versions), Gumball Rally, Surf's Up, Dude!, Power Grid
Role Playing games: D&D, D6 system
Miniature games: Canvas Eagles (WWI planes), 15mm Civil War, BattleFeet Gothic, and a very cool Gaslight/SteamPunk Civil War game.
We will have door prizes and even bring out the CharCon "Die of Destiny" and give away some Rio Grande Games.
The Appalachian Gamers will have a 50 - 75 boardgame library available for guests to use or they will teach games all day.
We will have more information about vendors and sponsors and other stuff soon. If you are interested in attending or running a game let me know.
