My client, which is a Fortune 500 company, is looking for a Systems Administrator for a 3 month+, W-2 contract opportunity.
Candidates must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher to be considered for this position
Job Duties:
Job Duty 1 - Perform hardware and software systems administration and network administration for the computer resources
Job Duty 2 - Provide a full range of hardware, software and network support for the operating system comprised of RedHat Linux and Windows servers and workstations
Job Duty 3 - Administer network to manage router and switch configurations
Job Duty 4 - Manage the project in conjunction with a larger system administration team
Job Duty 5 - Interface with other site administrators to provide status and manage cross site dependencies
Basic Skills Required, Years in each skill: 10 years each of the following
§ (Required) Ten (10) years of system administration and O&M experience with LINUX Server environments including RedHat
§ Hands on Windows Server experience such as; building servers, configuring domains, DNS, Active Directory, Certificate servers, Exchange servers, DHCP, Insight Manager, high availability, clustering, etc.).
§ Experience with servers such as: HP DL140, DL320’s, DL380’s, DL385, DL585’s, etc. Experience with Blade servers such as HP & IBM.
§ Experience with PC workstation COTS installations (i.e., IBM Rational Tools, MYSQL, Visual Studio, MS Office products, etc.)
§ Project Management experience involving building computer resource labs tied to program schedule milestones.
Other Skills Desired, Years in each skill: 1 year each of the following
§ (Preferred) Hands-on experience with the HPUX root-level operations (i.e., Building servers, storage, networking, backups, user administration, LVM, NIS, Disk Mirroring, and shell scripts, etc.).
§ (Preferred) COTS integration experience
§ (Desired) Network installation and configuration (Cisco, Procurve), configuring routers and switches, configuring VLANs, Classless subnetting, etc.
§ (Desired) Storage Area Networking installation and configuration (Fiber Channel switch configuration, WWN’s, Domaining, etc.
