About the Position: Serves as the senior system engineer responsible for the operation and maintenance of the DoD Automated Biometrics Identification System (ABIS). Serves as the focal point, recognized expert advisor, and senior engineer/computer scientist, providing technical direction, planning, leadership, and innovation for Biometric implementations. Provides expert advice and consultation on and resolves unusually complex problems associated with development, design, standardization, and integration of current and next generation software/systems to support operational requirements utilizing multiple engineering or computer science disciplines associated with information technology.

The position is located in Clarksburg, West Virginia in the Biometrics Task Force.

I will be applying. However, I don't have any biometric experience. The field does excite me though. I'd be willing to work at a lower level to get my foot in the door.

Very few do. Don't concentrate on that . Concentrate on how what you do is LIKE biometrics...
