Technician – Instrumentation/Combustion Shop

We are currently seeking candidates to fill two Technician positions in the
Instrumentation/Combustion Shop in the Maintenance Department at the
Huntington facility of Special Metals. The positions will report to the
Supervisor – Instrumentation/Combustion. Candidates will be required to
have an understanding of calibrating, troubleshooting, and working with
different types of instruments, thermocouples and surveying furnaces.
Candidates must also have excellent organizational, planning and computer
skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with others. Once
the training period is over, off shift work may be required.

Requirements:
- Prior experience in electronic, instrumentation and combustion.
- Prefer a two or four year degree in a technical field.

Interested SMC employees who meet the above qualifications and would

Loren just received a call for a second on-site interview. It's looking good for him.

Congratulations to Loren! He received a phone call today with an offer and he's going to accept. I pointed him in the right direction, but I didn't get him the job; he did it himself! He is very excited. I'll be glad to see him in a position where he can use his degree and continue to learn.

We'll be working in seperate buildings at the same facility. I'll probably see him several times a week. However, there's a posibility that I'll be moving to work in the same building with him. So he may get to see my handsome face every day!

By my count there will be four Sigma Pi's working at Special Metals, Huntington: Rich Wilson (head of Engineering), Jon Ratcliff, Loren Briles and myself.

Jimmy Anderson has been in the plant for a 1st and 2nd interview for this position (2 positions were open). We're gonna take over this place. There are four Sigma Pi's here now. Jimmy would make five!
