Job Title: IT Security Specialist
Location: Boulder,CO
Duration: 6 Months (POSSIBLE EXTENSION)
Note : Client prefering candidates with Active Security Clearance
Job Description:
DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND TASKS:
Job Description: As a member of a security application administration team serve as the primary administrator for the enterprise McAfee TOPS solution. Position will require day-to-day operations of the McAfee TOPS solution as well as assisting team members with additional system and network security applications. Responsibilities will be to maintain all aspects of the solution, to include on-going documentation, maintenance, training of operations staff, and continuing optimization of the suite to provide maximum security protection and value. Role may require occasionally off hours support and on-call rotation.
CRITICAL SKILLS:
Knowledge of McAfee TOPS (ePO, VirusScan, AntiSpyware, HIPS) and Microsoft Windows administration in an enterprise environmentAbility to install, maintain, deploy, and manage McAfee TOPS in a enterprise environment
Create formal documentation for system administration, build out, operations, and maintenance.
Build, configure, and manage Microsoft Windows servers in an enterprise enviornment
Understanding of information security principles as it relates to systems and network security
Understand Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPO) as it relates to system configuration, patch management, and system hardening guidelines
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Desired Experience: At least 5 + years of experience related to technologies listed in Critical Skills and Technical Skills
Desired Skills:
Operating Systems: Windows 2000 Workstation – Windows 2003 Server Enterprise R2
Network Operating Systems: Cisco IOS
Network Topologies: Ethernet
Network Protocols: TCP/IP, SNMP, ICMP, NetBios, SMB, RDC
Network Firewalls: Cisco ASA and PIX
Network Management Systems: Cisco Security Manager, Cisco Works, NetCool, Tivoli
