Special Metals Corporation has a Human Resources Generalist opening at its Huntington, WV facility. Ideal candidate will have a broad working knowledge of organizational planning, employee involvement, recruiting, training and development, performance management, labor relations and compliance.



Primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing an organization-wide communication strategy to support business objectives, change initiatives and employee involvement
• Recruiting and placement for all positions, including corporate and local development programs
• Continuously improve HR processes to more effectively deliver results
• Serve as backup to labor relations function

Position Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent required; masters degree preferred; PHR/SPHR is a plus
• Minimum of three years HR generalist experience with proven track record of success and increased levels of accountability
• Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and clearly expressing ideas and concepts both verbally and in writing to effectively handle sensitive issues
• Broad knowledge of labor relations with a proven track record of building positive relationships between management and union at all levels in the organization
• Strong leadership, analytical and organizational skills
