This is very sad news. I think the first time I met Sparky was at WWW. Thoughts and prayers from Amy & I. We are travelling now, so wont be able to make it.

This is truely sad news. Sparky encouraged me through many of the times in my life both good and bad. My prayers will be going up for his and our fraternity family.

Default Memorial Service for Sparky

If all goes as planned, the actives will hold a memorial service at the house Wednesday night (Jan 27, 2010) at 9 pm. This is a open service so spouses and friends are invited. I you would like to attend, post something here or call an active so that we know how many to expect. Thanks.

Regarding funeral services, I've only ever been to a 1. wake (with body) 2. burial. I'm not trying to be an ass here, I'd just like to know what to expect. I'd hate to get dressed up in my "Sunday best" to show up to a tailgate/kegger/party in his honor. I'd hate to show up in jeans and t-shirt to a formal occasion. Are we all just gonna sit around with our head hung low? Will there be any toasts/speakers/etc.. Will there be snacks? Should I bring snacks? Can I drink a Makers and coke? How about a photo board? Will we sing the fireside song?

Fair Enough?

This is not a formal event, but just a memorial service. It is the Funeral Ritual service though, which is supposed to be performed at the Funeral. the Memorial service ritual is NOT public, so we decide to go with the Funeral Ritual for other friends.

Anything else just call me
